HELP IIA GO GLOBAL !

One of the goals for the International Interracial Association this year is to expand its scope and become a truly international organization by translating the website into other languages. This critical to the success of IIA and thus that of promoting interracial and intercultural relations worldwide because English-speakers are not the only ones facing such issues. With the expansion of the Internet and other improvements in communication and transporatin, more people are crossing borders today than ever. As such, the importance of interracial and intercultural understanding will continue to increase.
To present, the majority of the posts on the IIA website have been those of native English speakers living in the United States. However, there are millions of people who do not speak English who are probably facing the same issues that many of you have had questions about. IIA wants to make sure that we're there for them too.
I realize that asking you to translate the entire website is overwhelming, so I ask that you contribute what you can. A few paragraphs or a page is atleast a start. A start that will give hope to many people in other countries facing interracial or intercultural issues. If you are bi-lingual and would like to help, please contact me. Should you like to start right away, I would like to request that you begin first with the "About the Association" section, which outlines the services and goals of IIA. By offering that first page on the Internet, hopefully it will generate a response and create a momentum to translate the remaining sections of the website.
For those who assist IIA in the very important endeavor, recognition will be granted to you on the main page of the IIA website when the translated page goes up. Your name and a link to your webpage (if you have one) will be listed in the "Members" section of the website. You will also be provided instructions on how to download a special animated IIA logo that you may display on your homepage with pride. So please, join in the endeavor and make a positive difference!
